Discussion
Maximum Rainfall Accumulations of 20.0 to 50.0 mm in moderate to heavy showers are likely to generate some flooding throughout the afternoon as sporadic localized activity affects the island. Therefore, the Barbados Meteorological Services has issued a Flash-Flood Watch for the afternoon.
General Information
A flash-flood watch is issued when heavy or excessive rainfall in a short period of time (generally less than 6 hours) could result in flash flooding within the watch area. It does not mean that flooding will occur, but it is possible.
This Flash-Flood Watch is valid from 11:00 am Friday 4th October 2024 and will be terminated at 6:00 pm Friday 4th October 2024 or sooner if conditions warrant.
