Discussion
Low-level convergence aided by a marginally favourable upper-level pattern is currently generating pockets of heavy to intense showers. Due to the already saturated nature of the earth and with expected rainfall accumulations between 1 and 2 inches possible today Sunday 17th November, 2024, the BMS has issued a FLASH-FLOOD WATCH.
General Information
A flash-flood watch is issued when heavy or excessive rainfall in a short period of time (generally less than 6 hours) could result in flash flooding within the watch area. It does not mean that flooding will occur, but it is possible. This Flash Flood Watch was issued at 8:40 am on Sunday 17th November, 2024 and will be updated at 12 Noon or sooner if conditions warrant.
