**** Hazard Info ****
Possible Impacts
Runoff from higher elevations. Some soil erosion. Water settlements on roads and fields. Objects or debris from higher elevations becoming embedded within fast moving water flows. Delays on traffic routes with some roads becoming impassable .

-The public should follow recommendations from the department of emergency management and monitor the BMS, DEM and GIS websites and their respective social media pages along with the local media networks for further updates.
Discussion
As a tropical wave affects the island overnight rainfall accumulations reaching up to 30 mm from occasionally cloudy skies are anticipated across the island. Due to the already saturated nature of the environment any additional rainfall throughout the night is likely to generate flooding in flood-prone areas. Therefore, the Barbados Meteorological Services has issued a flood watch overnight.
General Information
A flood watch is issued when heavy or excessive rainfall could result in flooding within the watch area. It does not mean that flooding will occur, but it is possible.
This Flood Watch is valid from 6:00 pm Wednesday 25th September and will be terminated at 6:00 am Thursday 26th September or sooner if conditions warrant.
