Possible Impacts
Lighting activity at or near your location could result in power outages if lighting strikes power utility infrastructure. Persons are reminded that lightning strikes can be life-threatening.

Discussion
Moderate to heavy showers are likely over northern districts during the afternoon with possible thunderstorm activity. Therefore a flash flood watch is in effect for northern parishes.

This Severe Thunderstorm Watch was issued at 1:30pm today Thursday 26th September 2024 and will be terminated at 6pm or sooner if conditions warrant. A severe-thunderstorm watch is issued when significant lightning activity is possible within the watch area (generally within 6 hours).
