Expires

Hazard Info:-
**** Hazard Info ****
Possible Impacts
Moderate to significant:- Soil erosion on bared or scarred land surfaces. Water settlements on roads and fields may lead to commuting delays and possible isolated diversions. Increases in water levels of existing water bodies (e.g ponds etc.). Marginally invasive excess water on roads, fields, storm drains/water canals and on property.
What you should do
-The public should follow recommendations from the Department of Emergency Management and monitor the BMS, DEM and GIS websites and their respective social media pages along with the local media networks for further updates.
Discussion
The shear line affecting the island continues to generate pockets of moderate to heavy shower activity which is expected to persist into the night. Because of the rainfall accumulations that have already occurred throughout the day, further showers could generate flooding across low-lying areas, and therefore, the Barbados Meteorological Services has extended a flash-flood watch.
