Severe lightning activity is possible mainly across central, northern and eastern sections of the island throughout the day. Therefore, the Barbados Meteorological Services has issued a Severe Thunderstorm watch.

A severe-thunderstorm watch is issued when significant lightning activity is possible within the watch area (generally within 6 hours). This Severe Thunderstorm Watch was issued at 8:40 am Thursday 19th September 2024 and will be terminated at 6:00 pm Thursday 19th September 2024 or sooner if conditions warrant.
