This alert message is valid from 3:00 pm today Tuesday 6th September 2022 and will be terminated at 6:00 pm Tuesday 6th September 2022 or sooner if conditions warrant.
A flash-flood watch is issued when heavy or excessive rainfall in a short period of time (generally less than 6 hours) could result in flash flooding within the watch area. It does not mean that flooding will occur, but it is possible.

Due to a light wind regime across the island, further rainfall accumulations of 20.0 to 40.0 mm in heavy showers are anticipated mainly across northwestern districts of the island this afternoon.

-Soil erosion is likely on bared or scarred land surfaces.
-Debris such as small rocks, mud and tree foliage could end up on roads and property.
